Re: Ings
It has been reported recently that Ings is not on 125k a week. If he's on twenty quid a week he should give fifteen of it back, the fuckin waster.

which teams did Yarmalenko rip apart?

Re: Ings
I’ve seen it said that Ings was a “gift” for Moyes from Sullivan. But so we’re Downes and Vlassic and they didn’t play anywhere near as much.

I can only assume it was actually a Moyes buy and he keeps hoping Ings will justify his joining WH…

Re: Ings
Strodder - Not sure its fair to compare Ings to Yarmolenko...

Not seen Ings do anything near Yarmo - on his day he ripped teams apart ok not often and only for 20 mins as his knees were bust.. but I can't imagine Ings doing anything near it if he stayed here for 10 years!

Re: Ings
I think he has only scored over 20 goals for two clubs. Burnley a few years back and Southampton on loan and permanent. To be fair his time at Southampton wasn't bad for a striker but he has never been "prolific" for a striker.

Re: Ings
I'd imagine he'll be out the door sooner rather than later for a very low fee and with us covering a big chunk of his wages.

happy days.

Re: Ings
Unfortunately Ings has a long term contract until June 2025. He will happily hang on in the reserves rather than move on. The only hope of getting him gone is by paying him to go on loan or pay up his contract.

In many walks of life in teh modern world it pays better to fail

Sydney_Iron 6:09 Tue Nov 28
Re: Ings
Hopefully he's is moved on in January, a PL side struggling or pushing for promotion from the Championship will pick him up (on the cheap i bet) or he may even be used as a part exchange for someone like Solanke from Bournemouth if those rumors of us having more than a passing interest are to be believed.

Nothing against Ings himself, seems a top lad but he is not a PL standard these days and even in his prime never outstanding IMO, always a strange signing if you ask me, stunk of Sullivan!!!

Re: Ings
I can kind of see Strodders point, bring him on with 10 left and one might come off his backside into the net, I use to think similar but have now given up on even that. The fella is totally washed up, you might as well just put someone from the crowd on. Pound for pound, one of our worst signings ever.

Re: Ings
Gary - Ings has done zilch other than impersonating a pub player. Why on earth keep him?

Re: Ings
An expensive squad filler.and bench warmer but may pop up with the odd goal here and there that could prove important.

Yarmolenko was the same for the vast majority of his stay but at least came up with the goods to some extent in his final season.

I would still keep hold of Ings despite his limitations and the emergence of Mubama at least until we have signed a replacement as I think we need to have numbers and plenty of injury cover going into the new year.

Re: Ings
For Ings to leave in January we would need a new striker to come in.

Good luck with that

Re: Ings
Yeah it’s the wages that’s gonna be the issue.

As mentioned he will probably do better in a passing based team that plays thru the lines and has more movement but in a Moyes set up he is likely to stink the place out for 2 more seasons. I suppose loaning him out somewhere and subsiding his wages is the only option?

Re: Ings
Mr Trent

I am hoping we get rid of him this Christmas window when other teams are desperate like we were. However, on his current form not sure anyone would take him. Especially on his wages.

MrTrentReznor 12:15 Tue Nov 28
Re: Ings
I think the main reason Ings was signed was to prevent other teams that were similarly 'relegation threatened' at the time from signing him.
It was probably felt that Ings could score 4-6 goals in the remaining games of the season.
Taking those potential goals (& resultant pts) from another club was more important than what he could score for us.

Re: Ings
He's not going anywhere. We're giving him his pension pot, he'd be fucking mental to leave, and no one will take him.

The only hope we've got, is that a new manager comes in, gets us playing football with the football, and create chances that he can get on the end of, to get something back from him. I'm not confident, but that's about the best we can hope for.

Has to be the most pointless player in football for a manager like Moyes. Utter fucking car crash of a signing for Groundkeeper Willie.

Re: Ings
Danny Ings cost $15 million in the January 2023 transfer window. He has not scored in the Premier League since February 2023 when we beat a depleted Forest side 4-0. He is on $125K per week and I want him gone out of my club.

Mubama definitely won’t be starting Saturday, maybe Sunday
